Miami, FL – March 14, 2015 – PAMM Contemporaries trekked west to the Everglades for a special art crawl with AIRIE, an artist residency program in the Everglades. The Everglades has been a source of inspiration for many of Pérez Art Museum Miami’s collection artists, including Christy Gast and Mark Dion. The group explored the Great River of Grass’ beauty on airboats before stopping at a secluded, private island for a post-ride party. Artist Jason Hedges, known for his food installations, created a delicious alligator “swamp stew” especially for the occasion. Contemporaries cooled down with ice cold beer from Biscayne Bay Brewing Company and enjoyed the company of tiny, and large, swamp creatures before riding the airboats off into the sunset.

The beautiful and unique sales gallery—which doubles as a public art space—was designed by and features original works by Julian Schnabel. Miami, FL – March 19, 2015 – The Patricia and Philip Frost Museum of Science kicked off Brain Day, a three-day event presented by Baptist Health South Florida, with the Museum’s popular Science Up Close event series, which consists of themed evenings of casual science conversations. This installment featured Dr. Vitaly Siomin, Medical Director of the Brain Tumor Program at Baptist Health Neuroscience Center. Following an introduction by Dr. Sergio Gonzalez-Arias, Medical Director of Baptist Health Neuroscience Center, Dr. Siomin discussed “Brain Surgery While Awake,” a presentation on awake craniotomy, brain surgery on a patient who is awake, which is performed through brain stimulation and mapping. Small group discussions led by neuroscience professionals including scientists, researchers, and graduate students followed the presentation. Guests enjoyed music by the Frost School of Music along with complimentary beverages by Wynwood Brewing Company.

Miami, FL – May 28, 2015 – Champagne showers, boobs everywhere and a camera to catch it all, this is just a small glimpse of an average night for nightclub maven and photographer, Kirill, aka the Slut Whisperer. His hard partying ways are now at the forefront of Showtime’s latest series, 3AM. 3AM is a penetrating joyride into the bizarro world of late-night New York City. The high-energy documentary series follows a cornucopia of drag queens, artists, escorts, and other insomniacs, all trying to turn fantasy into reality while flaunting every rule in the book.
Although the series focuses on Kirill’s antics throughout New York City, we certainly can’t forget all of the insane times he’s had here in Miami. In light of the premiere episode airing tonight at 11:00 pm, World Red Eye caught up with the man of the hour to hear a little bit more about the show, as well as some of the crazy shenanigans he finds himself in.

WRE: You appear in Showtime’s new series 3AM, can you tell us a bit more about the new show?
KWH: It’s a documentary style show revolving around the lives of a few eccentric characters that come alive at night including night owls like myself, Fat Jew, an escort, etc. 3AM is really interesting concept for me because people only know me as this one dimensional character that does molly out of girl’s butt holes. Now they’ll see the softer, gentler side of me, too. Don’t get me wrong, the show is raw as fuck, but it also humanizes me a little bit.

KWH: It’s been a long process. It all started three years ago, and as you know I drink 5 nights a week, so the memories of the early days of this show are a little fuzzy to me.
WRE: You have received a lot of backlash from your website and posting risqué photos, how many fucks do you give?
KWH: I don’t give any fucks. I’m more of a blow job guy myself.
