Miami, FL – December 3, 2014 – Art enthusiasts and Miami influencers gathered for the latest installment of Alexo Wandael ITALIANY at The James Royal Palm Hotel on Wednesday evening, coinciding with the Art Basel Miami Beach festival. The exhibition is in collaboration with Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Italy’s No. 1 premium beer, as the first part of the brand’s two-year Storie di Stile campaign which spotlights stories of talented Italians in the United States and their impact on style and culture. ITALIANY is a visual celebration of influential Italians in the United States, manifested through a series of bold black-and-white portraits. It was first launched in New York this fall with portraits of Italian Americans living in New York. Miami, FL, December 5, 2014 – Francois Frossard Design (FFD), one of Miami’s foremost authorities on architecture and interior design, celebrated the grand opening of its new freestanding office space located in the heart of downtown Miami on Friday. Designed from the ground up by Francois Frossard and Jose Sanchez of Praxis Architecture, the office doubles as an artists’ showroom, a nod to the area’s creative community. In addition to being an inspirational environment to spark the creativity of Frossard’s renowned designers, the office is furnished by Portugal-based luxury furniture company Boca do Lobo, and serves as the furniture company’s first-ever showroom in the US. At the private cocktail, guests enjoyed the new office which serves as a kaleidoscope of rotating art, special events, and open workspaces designed to keep employees and visitors motivated and inspired throughout the day. The space will showcase art on a revolving basis and for its opening, debuted a new series of art by Maximo Caminero, who was in attendance, as well as work by artists Sergio Payares, Emilio Martinez, Troy Simmons, Ted Van Cleave, Marcia Ramos-Perello, Rubem Robierb, Penny, Zevs, Peter Tunney, and Rednoir. The night opened with solo performances by Kelela and Fade To Mind artist Total Freedom with guest appearances by Ian Isiah and Maluca, all of who have garnered a strong following of music industry contemporaries and critics. Future Brown and vocalists performed on a custom stage with a vibrant light and video production by THV Entertainment to the backdrop of a dynamic water sports event involving a flyboarding performance in Biscayne Bay choreographed by DIS Magazine. The museum’s façade was used to project the premiere of the PAMM-commissioned music video, Vernáculo featuring Maluca, from Future Brown’s debut album. Over 6,000 guests flooded the terrace to capture the vibrant spectacle as they mixed and mingled to the energetic beat. In between catching the performance guests were encouraged to Undo Ordinary at the custom Kim Crawford Casa Mariposa bar, featuring Kim Crawford’s iconic 2014 Sauvignon Blanc and 2013 Pinot Noir wines, as well as Kelvin Natural Slush Co. crafted signature Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc-infused slushes.
